Banff Elopement Photographer

Le Café Studio photographs Banff elopements and small weddings in Banff, Canmore and Kananaskis, and Calgary elopements for couples who would rather stay in the city: a ceremony for two, or a handful of people, and portraits in the best light of the day. Meet your photographer.

Calgary elopements and micro weddings

Not every couple wants the mountain drive. A Calgary elopement can be a park, a rooftop or a dinner with your closest people, with the city behind you. The same two packages apply, and you can see a Calgary rooftop wedding in the gallery.

Eloping in the Rockies and in Calgary

How much does it cost to elope in Banff with a photographer?

With Le Café Studio, elopement photography is $1,600 for 2 hours or $3,200 for 5 hours with two locations and golden hour portraits.

Do we need a permit to elope in Banff National Park?

Couples register their ceremony with Parks Canada. Groups are limited to 20 people including the photographer, no spot is reserved for you alone, and confetti is not allowed. Your photographer also needs a Parks Canada business licence.

How many guests can come?

Inside Banff National Park, up to 20 people including the photographer and officiant. Outside the park, it depends on the venue.

What is included in a Banff elopement package?

Vows ($1,600) is 2 hours: your ceremony, portraits after, help choosing a spot and about 200 edited photographs. Editorial Elopement ($3,200) is 5 hours: the ceremony, two locations, golden hour portraits, help with the plan and paperwork, and about 400 edited photographs. Both arrive in an online gallery within 4 weeks.

Can we elope in Calgary instead of the mountains?

Yes. Le Café Studio photographs Calgary elopements and micro weddings with the same two packages, $1,600 for 2 hours or $3,200 for 5 hours. Choose a spot in the city, or ask and I will suggest a few.

Can we elope in Canmore or Kananaskis instead?

Yes. Canmore and Kananaskis have their own beautiful spots and fewer crowds, and I will help you weigh them against Banff.

What happens if the weather is bad on our elopement day?

Mountain weather changes fast. We plan a backup spot and keep the timing loose, and if it is truly unsafe we look at moving the date to one that works for both of us.

Who owns the photos?

With Le Café Studio, you own the finished, edited photographs: print them, share them and post them however you like. I keep the unedited raw files, and I may show some of your photographs in my portfolio.
